Emails from bands & labels
When you buy, you can choose to let that band or label email you about what they do next. It’s entirely optional, it’s per-seller, and you can take it back any time. Here’s exactly how it works — for fans and for sellers.
The box at checkout
At checkout you’ll see one unticked box: “Let [seller] email me about future releases and offers.” Leave it as it is and nothing happens. Tick it and you’re telling that one seller — not the whole platform — that they can email you about new records and offers.
Note
Turning it off
Changed your mind? You can withdraw a seller’s permission any time in your settings, per seller — turning one off doesn’t touch any other. The moment you do, you drop off that seller’s list.
For bands & labels: your buyer contacts
If you sell, your buyer contacts in the dashboard are a CSV of the fans who explicitly agreed — at checkout — to let you email them. It carries their email, the date they consented, and their metal.club name.
Only consenting buyers appear, and anyone who withdraws drops off immediately. You won’t see a buyer who didn’t tick the box — that’s the deal that makes the tick meaningful. Use it to tell the people who asked to hear from you about your next record; keep it to that.
