Following & notifications

Follow a band or label to keep up with their releases and broadcasts. Follow a fan whose taste you rate, and their purchases and recommendations surface in your feed — that’s the taste graph, and it’s how a lot of the best discovery here happens: through people, not an algorithm.

Your notifications keep you on top of what you care about — new releases and broadcasts from bands you follow, pre-order track reveals and release-day unlocks on records you’ve backed, stock alerts, and social activity like new followers and recommendations.

You can control what you receive in your notification settings.

You can recommend a released record directly to another fan, with a note — a personal “you need to hear this” that lands in their notifications rather than shouting into a feed. It’s taste passed hand to hand, which is how metal has always spread.
