Lists: AOTM & AOTY

Lists are how you put your taste on record. Album of the Month and Album of the Year are your running picks — they feed the platform’s charts, show on your profile, and export as images you can post anywhere.

Album of the Month

Your Album of the Month is a list of the records that defined a month for you. Add as many as you want — there’s no fixed number — and pick from any album on metal.club, not only the ones you own, so it reflects what you’re actually spinning.

Ordering is your choice. Leave it unranked — an unordered set of favourites — or switch it to ranked and drag your picks into the exact order you want. The Ranked / Unranked toggle is right there in the builder.

Album of the Year

Album of the Year is the same idea stretched across a year: your records of the year, from any album on the platform, with no set limit. And like AOTM, ranking is optional — build a numbered 1-to-N countdown, or keep it an unordered set, using the same Ranked / Unranked toggle.

Backfilling past months

You’re not locked to right now. When you build an AOTM or AOTY list you set its month and year — and past periods are there to choose, going back several years. So you can fill in the months you missed and make your history complete instead of starting from the day you joined.

Exporting as images

Any of your lists can be exported as an image to share. From your lists page, open the export panel and choose a format — square, portrait, or landscape — then download the image. It’s laid out with the artwork and carries metal.club branding, so a shared list doubles as discovery for the records on it.

Your lists live on your Lists page — linked from your profile.
