Pricing — the price you see is the price you pay
No surprise line at the final step, no VAT quietly folded into a number you never agreed to. What’s in your basket is what you’ll be charged — here’s exactly how it adds up.
Why is the price I see the price I pay?
Because the band or label set that price, and that’s genuinely what you’re paying — nothing gets added on top after the fact. What you see in your basket is your total, full stop.
Does the price include VAT?
Where VAT applies, yes — it’s already in the price shown, never added as a surprise at the final step. How it’s handled depends on what you’re buying:
- Digital purchases: metal.club collects and remits VAT directly, so the price you see is genuinely final.
- Physical purchases: this depends on where the seller is based. If they’re in the EU or UK, VAT is their own responsibility and already reflected in their price. If they’re based elsewhere, metal.club collects it on their behalf — either way, no hidden add-on.
Will I be charged customs or import duty separately?
For most purchases within the UK/EU, no. For cross-border physical orders, the carrier may collect import charges on delivery — this is standard for any international parcel, not something metal.club adds. Sellers can choose to cover this themselves, in which case you’ll see that clearly stated before you buy.
Where does my money actually go?
Direct to the band or label — 8% on sales, and the rest goes straight through. You’ll always see exactly who you’re buying from before you pay. How fees work is on the fees page.
Can I get a refund?
Physical orders: yes, standard consumer rights apply. Digital purchases: no — because you get instant access the moment you pay, you’re asked to confirm you understand you’re giving up the standard cooling-off period. We ask clearly, at checkout, not in the small print.
What about gifts?
A gifted purchase stays claimable for 12 months. If it’s never claimed, you get your money back automatically — no action needed from you.
Can I choose faster / tracked shipping?
Where a seller offers it, yes — you’ll see the option at checkout with the exact extra cost, and it’s always optional.
