The Label Club

A club is a standing relationship between a label and its most committed fans: members get a discount on everything the label sells, and an included slice of the back catalogue. You run it from Dashboard → Club. This is a label feature.

What the club is

Set it up under Dashboard → Club: give it a name fans want to belong to (“[Your label] Club”, not “Subscription”), a short description, a minimum price per year, and a member discount. You can make a public club page visible when you’re ready.

The club belongs to the label — it draws on what the label itself sells. Independently-linked artists on your roster aren’t swept in; it’s your catalogue, on your terms.

The member discount

Set a percentage and it comes off everything the label sells, automatically, for anyone with an active membership — no code to type, no per-release setup. It applies at checkout on label-sold releases and shows as its own line so the member sees exactly what their membership saved them.

Note

One current boundary worth knowing: the discount applies to releases the label is the seller of. A release sold directly by a managed artist (rather than the label) isn’t discounted through the club today. If a release you expect to be discounted isn’t, that’s almost always why.

The included back catalogue

Choose which of your releases are included for members — the records they receive as part of belonging. Only releases the label sells can be added. Removing a release from the included list later never takes it away from members who already received it — it just stops being granted to new ones.

Adding & importing members

You can add a member by hand (a comp — enter their email and an optional end date), or import a list as CSV (email, ends_at). The dashboard shows your membership broken down by how each member arrived: paid, imported, and comp.

Important

Imported members are emailed a notice that they’ve been added. Until that notice has been sent, an imported member can’t be emailed by you and won’t appear in a contacts export — a deliberate guard so nobody is added to a mailing relationship without being told.

For fans

Being a member of a label’s club gets you a standing discount on everything that label sells, plus the records they’ve chosen to include. A label may make its club page public so you can see what’s on offer and how many members it has. Self-serve joining from that page is coming soon — for now, membership is set up by the label.
